Jonathan Merkh Bio
onathan Merkh has been in the book publishing business for over twenty-five years. His career encompasses roles in marketing, sales, distribution, agenting, and ministry through work at Thomas Nelson Publishers, Guideposts, the William Morris Agency, and Simon & Schuster.
Jonathan spent fourteen years with Thomas Nelson Publishers in various roles starting in the Resource Division and culminating in a post as Senior Vice-President and Publisher of the flagship imprint, the Nelson Books Division.
While there, he published more than twenty New York Times bestsellers, including works by Robin McGraw, Dave Ramsey, John and Stasi Eldredge, Dr. John C. Maxwell, Donald Miller, and Andy Andrews. A graduate of Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management, Jonathan also launched the Nelson Business and Political imprints.
Jonathan Merkh joined Howard Books, a division of Simon & Schuster and one of America’s largest publishing houses owned by the CBS television network, in March 2009. During his tenure with Simon & Schuster he oversaw the Howard Books division growing and publishing over forty New York Times best-sellers, five at the #1 slot. Some of these best sellers include Dave Ramsey’s EntreLeadership, Brad Paisley’s Diary of A Player, William Paul Young, comedian Tim Conway, Debbie Macomber, and many more.
n 2013, Howard Books made unprecedented publishing history by selling over 6 million copies of Duck Dynasty’s Robertson family with six different books from the family making the NY Times list in a 12 month period of time with two of them making it to the #1 spot and the rest in the top 10.
Jonathan Merkh’s extensive and varied experience gives him a well-rounded and unique perspective on every area of the book publishing industry. He has been interviewed and quoted by national media including The Wall Street Journal, NPR and Variety Magazine.
Jonathan has a B.A. Degree in Bible and Cross Cultural Communications from Welch College and a Masters in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.

ichael Roscoe is a serial entrepreneur who has launched successful businesses in fields ranging from home building and real estate to multi-media publishing and conferences. In October 2016 he sold the assets of his company Dealer Communications to Emerald Expositions, the largest trade show organizer in the United States.
Roscoe is currently an investor and majority partner in multiple businesses as diverse as Forefront Books, Disaster Restore 365, R&E American Properties, CloudTrainer, and is also a partner in J. Cage Cellars winery in Sonoma, California.
