Publishing a book is a daunting challenge. Whether you are an individual, a not-for-profit, or a publishing company with an important book, coming up with a winning strategy is complicated. If you decide to go the traditional route and seek a deal with a traditional publisher, having a literary agent is now a must. Putting a proposal together and knowing where to send it is something that most people don’t understand. As a publisher, Jonathan received many great and publishable proposals that he had to decline because his division didn’t publish that genre. The author would get discouraged by a rejection, when in reality the proposal had been sent to the wrong company. Jonathan’s experience in the publishing industry can help you find the right place to sell your book.
